A Short History of Susu's alternative housing projects
Susu trained as an architect in Taiwan and she's designed (and helped build) several of her own houses.
1974 - our first house in Richmond B.C.
1980 - second house in Surrey B.C.
1989 - lakeside cabin in Harrop (near Nelson) B.C.
1992 - purchased property for an earth-sheltered home in Molokai, Hawaii
1994 - unfinished log cabin(s) on Gabriola Island, B.C.
1995 - new semi-detached house in Duncan B.C.
2005 - the Straw Bale House, Wolfe Island Ontario
