List of unexpected things that I miss about Toronto
Things I miss:
1. INTERNET!!!!!!!!! The internet in New Zealand is incredibly slow: I imagine that Telecom New Zealand must have subcontracted with sea turtles to carry our packets to Hawaii and then on to North America. Apologies once again for writing infrequently but you can't imagine my frustration. Most of the time my requests for North American web sites time out. I have no idea what's happening in Canada because I can't access any Canadian news sources unless I get up at 5 am when all the high school kids have finally passed out.
2. President's Choice products. This is a distant second. I miss the chocolate crackles in their ice cream.
Besides all our friends and family (whom we knew we'd miss) that's about it. But the high speed internet connection is a really big one. How can we commit illegal downloading offences if we can only download at 1.5 kbs? I'm not sure why they bother with anti-piracy ads down here.

Apologies for a long absence but loading up photos to blogger from New Zealand was painful (all traffic to North America has to go through a single line via Hawaii). I've switched to Flickr - www.flickr.com/photos/sususolutions - but I'll also blog the occasional photo directly from Flickr.
Check out the rapt concentration on my face while I float in on a little baby whitewash! I used the last week of my Christmas / summer vacation to go surfing in New Zealand's northland. I still haven't caught an unbroken wave but my arms have finally recovered from days of abuse and I can lift them over my head without grimacing. More surfing to come.
